Meriting guide
Being new to aquariums and tropical fish, I found this log to be very helpful in all the basics. It is wonderfully illustrated and covers the worst points. I wish it would give more suggestions for possible compatible communities of fish.
Staggering tropical fish book!!!

I am currently 58 years girlish and have been into tropical fish ever since I was in the 5th grade. I occasionally procure tropical fish books, enjoying looking at the numerous species and reading about them, even though I do not have most of them. I was very delighted with this particular volume. Excellent illustrations of many breeds, with some good brief material with each one. Great information for beginners at the front of the rules; and a lot of plants covered, with very helpful tips notwithstanding them. Even the illustrations for the plants were excellent! One really gets one's rhino's worth with this book; it seems that it should cost a lot more than it actually does... a collector's item in this day and age! Not a lot of specific information on temperature ranges for each species was provided, but you can comfortably get that in other books or on the web.
Not a only word on "Kinguio" (Carassius Auratus)...
Ok, I persevere in Brazil. I bought a Freshwater aquarium for my young doughter and this "Superb Book of Freshwater Aquarium..."
This book is a "semi-complete" regard guide. On of the most common fish in Brasilian aquarius is the Kinguio or Goldfish(Carassius auratus) [...] .
I have searched every phase, every word on index about my "Carassius auratus" with truly no success.
I have other five species in the aquarium, and they are all in the book, with a compreensive message.
But my goldfish...
Excuse book
People rating this hard-cover are overly picky and unfair. This is a great register for anyone who needs info on tropical fishkeeping.
Passable photos, good basic info
The outwit thing about this book is that it does have a lot of content, it covers a lot of fish and plants with photos of almost all plain, and some not so common. I saw another review that noted the absence of goldfish, this is place. The book's main downfall is that it is lacking detail, it is lacking things like criterion water parameters. I am glad I have it as a reference, but I am still looking for a nice book that has more detailed info on the care of the fish, plants and aquarium in comprehensive.

Unsurpassed on the market!!
This proof kit is the best on the market. Instructions are well explained and also edify in detail why this step is so important. The more you perform the test the quicker it goes, and before you cognizant of it, it becomes like second nature.
Good-hearted tester.
I like this tester. It has everything you emergency to test your tank. The only problem I have is it is time consuming and sometimes it is tough to tell if the color chart matches your try out tube. These problems are not the fault of the test kit, but a chemical limitation. I like this tester.

Amuses secondary children
DVD has three divergent tanks (exotic goldfish, tropical, unusual water), each with a choice of aquarium noise or relaxing new age music/sounds. Fills sound TV screen. If you just let it go, it switches tanks and then loops back to whichever tank you started on. Note that you use the AUDIO button on the distant to change audio after you've started a tank. My 2 and 3-year-old niece and nephew extremely enjoy watching the fish, naming them, and making up stories about them. I find it worthwhile company when I'm reading.
C'mon people... it's fish
A SW compadre of mine had this DVD playing at his house. He said it was recommended as a contrivance for lowering blood pressure. I honestly never heard of using something like this for medical reasons but he seems to charge out of it so maybe it's working. I was unaware that there are so many of these type of "essential" videos, fireplaces, fish, dogs etc. I was also very surprised to find how serious everyone takes these things, something that I would take into a "gag gift" in most cases. I'm no expert in the virtual aquarium the world at large, I don't know what I should or shouldn't expect or how this DVD is better or worse than the others in the world of faux fish, but to me it looks like a video of a few fish tanks, nothing more or less. Gamble the video, look at fish, kids gawk and point at things and have a good time.... that's about it. C'mon people, it's a video of a fish tank and it's what people are getting from me when their understood fireplace has run it's course.
Absolutely (pun intended) this is a no buy
I understudy the previous review, "The film quality is low, nothing is in well-, and the lighting is poor. I would not purchase this item again." Big discouragement.

wouldn't buy again
Get one that is filmed in the the deep not a tank. The film quality is low, nothing is in focus, and the lighting is under par. I would not purchase this item again.

Aquarium In Your Living Apartment

National Park Mystery Plant 6 Revealed: This Freshwater Aquatic Plant is One ... National Parks Traveler (blog)

Kinsmen is usually branded anacharis when sold for aquarium use. It has many colloquial names, including Brazilian waterweed, Brazilian elodea, superhuman elodea, leafy elodea, South American waterweed, dull waterweed, and large-flowered waterweed.

Having “weed” as part of this foundry’s descriptor is certainly understandable. Although prized as an aquarium root that looks pretty while oxygenating the top and supplying nutrients, Brazilian egeria (i-JEER-ee-a) inspires close to universal hatred in people who’ve had to traffic with this highly invasive plant’s impacts on freshwater impoundments, canals, ditches, circumspectly-moving streams, pools, and sloughs.

Brazilian egeria is a towering-growing (up to 12 feet) machinery native to Brazil, Paraguay, and coastal areas of Uruguay and Argentina. It was brought to America as an aquarium transplant in the late 1800s, and it’s been loose in this homeland since at least 1893. It can now be found, usually rooted at depths of less than 15-20 feet, in bodies of unfledged water throughout the United States except in colder areas of the northern, Midwestern, and north-inner states. (It can survive under ice for only brief periods, and prolonged close-by-freezing temperatures will kill it.) Acadia Chauvinistic Park , Colonial National Verifiable Park , and Everglades National Reservation are a few of the NPS units that have documented Brazilian egeria within their borders.

North Carolina Aquarium at Pine Knoll Shores Can Help You Get More Bass Zoo and Aquarium Visitor News

By Claire Aubel

Atlantic Littoral, NC - Take a class on bass at the North Carolina Aquarium at Pine Mound Shores. The Aquarium hosts a sportfishing clinic featuring freshwater bass fishing on Saturday, Feb. 6, at 1:30 p.m. The clinic is unconfined with admission or membership.

Professional angler Chris Elliott of Morehead New Zealand urban area leads the workshop. A native of Raleigh, Elliott started fishing professionally in the FLW Outdoors Voyage 12 years ago. Additionally, he owns and runs Crystal Beach Charters.

Bass are among the top game fish in North America, according to Elliott. “It’s a confront figuring the fish out, and figuring out how to get them to nosh.”

In the clinic, Elliott shares his experiences, tips on prime bass fishing techniques and word on bass habitats and behaviors. Known for putting up a contest, nine types of bass swim in the lakes, ponds, reservoirs, rivers and streams of North Carolina: pale-complexioned, striped, largemouth, smallmouth, redeye, Roanoke, spotted, unnerve and hybrid stripe. While some are technically considered part of the sunfish next of kin, most share the same shy, but aggressive nature that makes them a defy to anglers statewide.
